Memorial Biography

Henry Kelly, III, 36, of Irwin, PA, passed away peacefully on November 30, 2020. He was born to parents Henry Kelly Jr. from Heath Springs, SC and Evangeline Campbell-Kelly from Darlington, SC on November 27, 1984 in Hackensack, NJ. Henry's father moved the family to a new home in Englewood, NJ in 1992 and soon after, He tragically passed away on November 7, 1993 in a tractor-trailer accident when Henry was only 9 years old. Soon after his father’s passing, Henry and his mother relocated to West Paterson, NJ where Henry went spent his adolescents and early teen years as the “Man of The House". Not only did Henry have to concentrate on being a good student, he was also protector and care-giver to his mother that was in failing health. After suffering several strokes, Henry’s Mother relocated them to Corona, NY in order to be close to his Grandmother Flossie Campbell, his Aunt Ethel L. Patterson and community health resources as she recovered and rehabilitated. With this move, Henry transferred from Passaic Valley Regional High School in Little Falls, NJ to The High School for Arts & Business in Corona where he met his Best Friend that was more like a brother, Dauberthini Beraud and his other buddy Juancarlos Collazo. On September 10, 2008, Henry’s mother, Evangeline Campbell-Kelly went home to be with the Lord when he was 23 years old. On July 4th, 2010, Henry met Martha Pichardo. The real fireworks didn’t happen until the two started dating on September 17, 2010. Then 9 months later, in June 2011, there was the pitter-patter of little feet running around the house. They had started a “Family" together. They adopted Bailey…their dog. Henry loved to take Cruises. On a February 2013 cruise, Henry asked Martha to be his wife and 6 months later on an August 19, 2013 cruise, Henry and Martha said their I Do's on the beach in the Bahamas and became Mr &Mrs Kelly. Henry also enjoyed going to the Dominican Republic (7 times), Sports, Clothes, Music, Red Wine, Cigars, Video Games, LeBron James and talking on the phone with Martha and giving advice to his Niece Da’Monique. Henry loved his job at AUDI Manhattan as a technician and valet. He was there for quite some time prior to being unable to work consistently due to his own serious health crisis of heart disease and multiple strokes. Henry’s poor health slowly progressed over the next 2-3 years. He was in and out of the hospital multiple times. Many times he was discharged just to turn around and be re-admitted. After becoming disabled, Henry did just as his mother did and turned to his Grandmother and Aunt Ethel for support. They both went to the hospital to see him daily and took turns taking him in after each discharge until he was well enough to get a small place of his own. In the Summer of 2019, Henry was preparing himself to relocate to Maryland where his cousins Crystal and Christopher Lide resided, but was never able to get healthy enough to make the move. Just prior to the arrival of COVID-19, Henry moved out to the suburbs of Pittsburgh to live with his big brother Dwayne Kelly. Dwayne, a former law enforcement officer, took Henry to the best physicians, got him disability and social security benefits and a new rent stabilized luxury apartment with a gym, rec room, basketball court, etc. Henry was living his best life. His health was great, he was exercising and having fun with his big brother and nieces and nephews. They spent their time eating, drinking and being merry. Henry’s friend Dauberthini visited him in Mid-November, just two weeks before he passed away. The two spent hours upon hours laughing, talking, joking and reminiscing not knowing that it would be the last time they would meet. On November 26, 2020, Henry spent Thanksgiving with his Big Brother Dwayne and family. He was happy and healthy. On November 27, 2020, Henry spent his 36th Birthday with his big brother Dwayne and family. He was happy and healthy. On November 29, 2020, at noon, His brother Dwayne dropped him off home to watch Sunday football. He was happy and healthy. On November 29, 2020, at 5pm, he called Dwayne to remind him that they had to do grocery shopping in the morning. He was happy and healthy. On the morning of November 30, 2020, Henry was called home by the Lord as he relaxed on his sofa with his iPad. He was now at Peace and in Eternal Rest.
